The "Thiers"
Designed in common by a whole profession,
the "Thiers" bears the name of its birthplace, the French cutlery
capital. This exceptional knife bears witness to the skills inherited
from many generations of master cutlers. For the first time ever
in this field, its manufacture is governed by the rules of a guild-mastership
based on that of 1582, which governed all the cutlery profession
in Thiers for nearly three hundred years.
Master cutler
"Visitors" are empowered to supervise and ensure that these rules
are applied at each stage in the manufacture of the knife.
