“EPV” label

Since 2008, Au Sabot has been awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV – Living Heritage Company) label

A distinction that recognises French companies for their exceptional artisanal and industrial expertise.

Regarded as a benchmark label in French craftsmanship and industry, the EPV designation highlights outstanding companies for the quality and uniqueness of their know-how.

The Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) label, awarded by the French State, recognises companies for the excellence of their artisanal and industrial skills.

To be eligible, a company must meet several stringent criteria:

  • Possess rare, recognised expertise with high added value, practised by a limited number of professionals.
  • Ensure the transmission of its skills, notably through in-house training and apprenticeships.
  • Have strong local roots, linked to a history, a place of production or a living heritage.
  • Be recognised for the quality of its activity, brand or achievements.
  • Be committed to a responsible approach, including the promotion of traditional trades, short supply chains and the reduction of environmental impact.

Awarded to Au Sabot since 2008, this label recognises our company’s ability to combine tradition, innovation and responsibility in keeping authentic cutlery craftsmanship alive. Through durable and high-quality products, we continue to uphold a strong identity rooted in history and shaped by the expectations of both French and international markets.
